Yoga, Dancing and Retreats Are Coming!
Plus, driving more than sleeping, staying connected but grounded in a crazy world and all the things I'm loving this week!
I missed last week I’m sorry team. It was one of those weeks. I drove to Ballarat and back Tuesday, went to Gundagai Wednesday/Thursday for Poppy for cross country and then Melbourne via Ballarat Saturday/Sunday! Hands up who else can relate to spending more time in the car than sleeping in one week! I often think about the Europeans who could traverse 5 countries in the same amount of time as we take to get half way across one state…
Anyway, the trip to Gundagai was actually lovely as Tim came too and we stayed at the Sir George which is one of my absolutely favourite places. We had a lovely dinner with out mates Gem and Sam and it was so nice to have some one on one time with Pops. When you have multiple kids, one on one time is so precious and they love it so much.
On the weekend I went to watch Daisy play netball and took her to Melbourne for a night with a friend of hers and her Mum (who I love) and that was also just so lovely. So although it was a lot of driving it was all worth it!
How is everyone coping with the world at the moment? This is just a little reminder to check in but not get consumed. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with the state of the world but it’s important to remember that the world has been this way forever, it’s just that we see it in our face in our little hand 24/7 now and it can feel very intense. So it’s important to ground in to where you actually are in the world and what’s happening in your world, not on the other side of the world.
I have spent even more time over the past couple of weeks feeling extremely grateful for where I am in the world. Quite often I just feel this wave come over me of this feeling so incredible grateful that I am here, in this house, safe and well, and loved. I feel so grateful that I am able to do that, to stop and remind myself that this life is good and I am so grateful.
Yoga and dance and retreats!
Retreat with Benita!
So excited to let you know that the next retreat here at the farm is going to be in October and I’ll be hosting it with my good friend Benita Bensch! If you have already messaged me about retreats, don’t worry I will be in touch with you first! More details to come over the coming weeks but it will be October 16-18th here at the farm with all the yoga, meditation, personal development, good food and relaxation things! It’s going to be so special and I can’t wait to see who joins us for this incredible few days.
Yoga at he local Gym!
I’m pretty excited to let you know I am going to be starting teaching yoga at our local gym! Rach (who owns the gym) messaged me a couple of weeks ago as we’ve been talking about it for a while now and it was the little kick up the bum I needed. So starting term 2, I’ll be doing Monday mornings at 6:15 and Wednesday mornings at 9:15 for 8 weeks to see how we go.
Who want’s to dance their arse of in the dark?
We’re starting - No Lights No Lycra classes in Barham as well! I miss dancing at parties and clubs so much. I bloody love dancing and the only time you get to dance these days seems to be at a wedding. Which is rare! So for a while I’ve been thinking about starting a class where you get blindfolded and just dance where you can’t see anyone so you can just be fully in it and let go. Then my mate Pip told me about this actual organisation, No Lights No Lycra that do exactly this! She’d been to a few of the nights in Melbourne and said it was fabulous!
You just turn the lights off and everyone just dances in the dark! We’re not going to get started until late September after harvest but I’m so excited. More details and sign ups for locals to Barham Koondrook to come.
It’s all a very well organised group, so if this sounds like something you’d like to do, check them out and start one in your town! Find it HERE

Ok - this interview with Ester Perel is a MUST listen for anyone married or not! I was just nodding along so much. She’s just so good on the relationship and sex advice and makes so much sense!
I have always had the attitude that we may as well make our relationship and sex life great with each other as that to me seems a lot easier than having a bloomin’ affair! I’d rather put the effort in to this person who I love and share my life with than try to spice things up with someone else! Esther basically says that is a good way to go about things too and gives lots of other great advice!
This chat with Sarah and Josh. You guys know I recommend these two a lot and this chat was great. I just love two people discussing things with the up most respect for each other and just talking about the issues. So good.
I am reading Wedding People at the moment and enjoying so far..
We’ve been watching 9 Perfect Strangers, absolutely LOVE it and really would like to try those mushrooms on that retreat in that hotel myself!
